Fish Tank Tracker
A spreadsheet that logs water tests for every tank you keep, flags problems in red and amber, and charts your nitrate over time, so you spot trouble before your fish do.
Instant download through Gumroad. Works in Excel, Google Sheets (free) and LibreOffice. No macros, no account, nothing to install.
Free updates for life. When I improve it, you get the new version by email at no cost.

What's inside
- Dashboard: every tank on one screen with its last test date, days since, latest ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH, and a plain "What to do" column: Act today, Water change due, Test due or OK
- Water log: one row per test. Pick the tank from a list and type your numbers. Bad readings turn red or amber as you type.
- Trends: pick a tank and see its nitrate, ammonia and pH charted over time
- Maintenance: filter cleans, floss changes and plant trims, with the next due date worked out for you and overdue jobs in red
- My tanks: gallons, type and stock for up to 30 tanks
- Healthy ranges and Settings: change the nitrate limit and how often you test

Why I made it
I keep 18 tanks. Without a log, I couldn't tell you which one was due for a water change or when I last cleaned a filter. This is the spreadsheet I'd want if I were starting over. If you'd rather use paper, the free printable log covers one tank for 13 weeks.
Who made it
Hi, I'm Andy. I've kept fish for over 10 years and look after 18 tanks. More about me.
Questions
Do I need Excel?
No. Open it free in Google Sheets: go to sheets.google.com, then File > Import > Upload. It also works in Excel and LibreOffice.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, in the Google Sheets or Excel app. Logging a test is one row, so it's quick to do at the tank.
What if it isn't for me?
Contact me within 14 days and I'll refund you.
