Amano shrimp care: tank size, temperature and tankmates
The algae-eating shrimp. Amanos are bigger than cherry shrimp and do not breed in fresh water, so the numbers stay steady.

How to keep them
Keep 3 or more. They are safe with peaceful small fish, but big fish will eat them.
Like every fish, they need a cycled tank, a heater set inside their range, and a weekly water change of about 25%. Test for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate before you add them. New to this? Start with how to cycle a fish tank.
